Pacific Coast Fruit Products is a fruit processing manufacturer in Abbotsford BC.  We are now hiring for our very busy summer season. 

Safety Corps

Scheduling & General Information

  • Mid-June to Early August
  • Afternoon & Night Shifts
  • Our shifts are between 8 & 12 hours
  • Flexibility with scheduling required
  • Attendance – must be exceptional
  • Steel toe boots required
  • In-door and out-door work – all weather conditions
  • Orientation & Training a week prior to start date

What SC get to do!

  • Set up production areas such as belts, flat dumping, flat washing with all necessary tools
  • Ensure staff arrival with proper PPE and assign duties
  • Ensure all staff are following GMP, Occupational Safety and COVID-19 Safety protocols
  • Train and coach belt inspectors to effectively inspect fruit
  • Monitor duties for belt inspectors, flat washers, dumping area, provide coaching and feedback to ensure high quality processing
  • Learn each of our product, quality and inspection criteria to ensure we are producing safe, quality food
  • Educate staff to understand food quality criteria and duties to be performed
  • Coordinate and document break schedules
  • Ensure areas, pallets, tools and equipment are clean and in good repair
  • Address performance concerns and bring to the attention of Supervisor
  • Other general duties as assigned

  • SC must be good at multi-tasking with high attention to detail
  • Our processing areas are very busy – a focus on safety is critical
  • SC must have very good time management and communication skills
  • $15.50 per hour
